AP Computer Science A is an introductory college-level computer science course. Get familiar with the concepts and tools of computer science as you learn a subset of the Java programming language. Students cultivate their understanding of coding through analyzing, writing, and testing code as they explore concepts like modularity, variables, and control structures. There is an AP Test in May. Many colleges accept passing scores for college credit! The best way to be sure is to search the specific college and check for AP scores required for credit.
